My experience practicing medicine has afforded me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of ages, but no matter the visit type, I focus on listening, discussion, and finding a treatment plan with a holistic approach. Listening is always my main priority, as people often need to feel heard and want to leave a visit without the sense they were rushed out. If you are looking to feel heard, work through solutions together, and explore different treatment plans, then I would love to meet you. My plan will be to work together as a team to identify concerns as well as create goals and ways to achieve them. We may use psychoeducation, lifestyle recommendations, therapy, or medication management as needed. Please remember there is no mental health concern too small to discuss. If it is affecting you, it is important.
Telehealth visits allow you to remain in a comfortable place and select convenient appointment times. Don’t worry if you are new to this type of visit, as I have been performing these visits for over two years. Patients are pleased with the relaxed nature of this style of visit and often find it more enjoyable than in person visits.
Background
I would describe myself as a very patient person that loves to listen and help others find solutions to problems they may face. This is what led me to the field of psychiatry, because it combines my love for listening and patient-centered visits with ongoing learning in evidence-based medicine. I hold a BS in human nutrition and a MS in physician assistant studies. I became a board certified PA in 2017. For the past few years, my focus has been on assisting patients with stress management, dietary concerns, eating habits, motivation, and self-esteem issues. Depression and anxiety are often addressed in visits as well.
