Hello Floridians. Outsiders might think of Florida as being nothing but beaches and sunshine, but it has some serious mental health shortage issues in many parts of the state. After working at UF, and starting a practice based in Jacksonville Florida, I know there are many people out there who are desperate to get in to be seen by a psychiatrist. I also know many patients who live in Florida but are overwhelmed with how difficult it is to find someone who is in network with their insurance. Since we are a virtual practice, it may be more difficult to find us, but people are generally very happy that they have found a clinic that answers the phone, responds to them, respects them and their time, and wants to get them in to see a clinician as soon as possible.
