TelepsychHealth is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and screen magnification.
Our conformance target
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review and improve our site over time rather than treating it as a one-time, finished state.
We have intentionally chosen not to use a third-party accessibility "overlay" or widget. Instead, accessibility is built into the site's own code — semantic structure, keyboard support, visible focus, descriptive text alternatives, and respect for reduced-motion preferences.
What we've implemented
- Semantic page structure with clear landmarks (a single main content area, header, navigation, and footer) and a logical heading order.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, with decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
- Keyboard support for interactive elements, and a visible focus indicator.
- Support for the operating-system "reduce motion" setting.
- Descriptive page titles and a defined page language.
Known limitations
We're transparent about areas still in progress:
- Some embedded third-party tools (for example, our appointment-request form and live chat) are provided by outside vendors, and their accessibility is partly outside our direct control. We're working with our partners to improve them.
- A small number of older blog articles, migrated from our previous site, may contain link text or formatting we are still refining.
If you encounter a barrier that isn't listed here, please tell us — your feedback directly shapes what we fix next.
