Virtual IOP & PHP programs
A structured step above weekly therapy — group, individual, and family sessions paired with psychiatry, delivered entirely online. Built for people who need more support than a once-a-week visit can offer, whether you're stepping down from inpatient care or stepping up before a crisis.
What our virtual IOP & PHP include
Both programs combine the same core elements — group therapy, individual sessions, and psychiatric medication management — at two different intensities. PHP is the more intensive level for people who need near-daily structure; IOP offers meaningful support while you keep up with work, school, or family. Everything happens by secure video with your care team coordinating as one plan.
Structured group therapy hours
The backbone of both programs. PHP typically runs the most weekly group hours across multiple days; IOP delivers fewer hours over three or more days a week. Groups are skills-based and process-oriented — covering emotion regulation, distress tolerance, relapse prevention, and peer support in small, facilitated cohorts.
Individual & family sessions
Regular one-on-one therapy with a dedicated clinician, plus family sessions when they support your goals. Your individual work ties the group skills back to your specific situation and keeps your treatment plan moving toward concrete milestones.
Psychiatry & medication management
A psychiatric provider reviews your diagnosis, starts or adjusts medication, and coordinates closely with your therapy team. Higher-acuity needs mean tighter follow-up, so medication check-ins happen more often than in standard outpatient care while you stabilize.
Admission, structure & step-down
Referral & admission
We start with a clinical assessment — by referral from an inpatient unit or another provider, or directly from you — to confirm an IOP or PHP level of care is the right fit. We verify your insurance benefits up front, complete the admission paperwork, and most new patients are scheduled within the week.
Structured programming
You join your assigned cohort for the program's group hours, meet regularly with your individual therapist, and see your psychiatric provider for medication management — all by secure video. The team reviews your progress together and adjusts your plan as you stabilize.
Step-down to outpatient
As you meet your goals, we step you down deliberately — from PHP to IOP, then to weekly outpatient therapy and psychiatry. We coordinate the handoff so your care never has a gap, and ongoing messaging and follow-ups keep you supported after you graduate.

Coverage, policies & procedures
Our IOP and PHP programs are covered by most major commercial insurers and Medicare where we're licensed, and we verify your benefits — including any prior authorization these levels of care often require — before you start. Self-pay is available with transparent rates. A few policies to know up front: consistent attendance is part of the clinical contract, since the program's structure is what makes it work, so we ask that you commit to your scheduled group and individual hours and let us know in advance if you can't attend. Because programming is fully telehealth, you'll need a private space and a reliable device and connection for each session, and you must be physically located in a state where we're licensed (AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, MI, MN, NY, or TX) during care. Safety comes first: we complete a risk assessment at admission and on an ongoing basis, maintain crisis and safety procedures with clear escalation steps, and if your needs exceed what an outpatient program can safely provide, we'll help arrange a higher level of care. We move between levels — PHP, IOP, and standard outpatient — based on your clinical progress, not a fixed timeline.
