TelepsychHealth is a physician-owned, independent practice offering evidence-based psychiatric and psychological services in the Jacksonville, FL area and across other states virtually. We integrate evidence-based clinical approaches with real-world experience in an empathic, trusting, and collaborative environment, providing psychotherapy and medication management in one convenient place.
We are looking for a personable, energetic, motivated psychiatrist (General or Addiction, MD or DO) to join our team. Candidates with experience in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry are preferred, but this is not exclusively an addiction practice — our most common diagnoses are anxiety, insomnia, and depression. This is a hybrid telepsych / in-person position; virtual patients are seen from their own homes during appointments.
About the role
- Virtual psychiatrist position, unless you live in Jacksonville, FL, where you may also see patients in person.
- 100% outpatient with no weekends.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and providers to address the mental health needs of adults and their families.
- Practice psychiatry autonomously, including determining the frequency and duration of patients' appointments and taking on therapy cases.
- Full administrative support for scheduling, pharmacy requests, drafting letters, prior authorizations, and patient messages regarding administrative concerns.
- Reliable, easy-to-use EHR system.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment to a diverse population of individuals.
- Carry out medication management and psychotherapy services in accordance with state and national regulations.
- Maintain the schedule of all active clients.
- Complete timely appointment notes that comply with insurance contracts.
- Participate in effective case collaboration and monthly peer supervision.
- Operate the practice's technology (computer, software, EHR).
- Community involvement and public education are strongly encouraged.
Requirements
- ABPN board certified or eligible.
- Active medical license to practice in the State of Florida, in good standing, with a valid NPI and DEA certificate and no prior disciplinary action.
- Willing to consent to a background check.
- Maintain and update pertinent clinical records and write progress notes in a timely manner.
- An NPI and an attested CAQH profile (register at nppes.cms.hhs.gov and proview.caqh.org), which are required for credentialing with insurance companies.
- Must not currently be under contract or bound by a non-compete with your current employer.
Job types: Full-time, Contract (Employee, W2). Schedule: 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday.
